STATISTICS AS A DESIGN EDUCATOR

Started my journey as a design educator with designing of my own course titled ‘Futurism and Urban ecology’ at the age of 23 for ISDI Parsons school of design now known as Atlas University. Along with ISDI I was also engaged with Ecole Intuit labs and Vancouver Film School (Mumbai).With over 5 years of teaching experience engaging with students across various disciplines ranging from Product design, Strategic design management, Communication design, Entertainment design, Game design and Concept art.

COURSES CREATED AND TAUGHT

I have crafted courses that go beyond the conventional, nurturing students' creative potential while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By infusing my design futurist and concept art expertise into the curriculum, I aim to ignite curiosity and empower students to envision innovative solutions. Through my teaching approach, I aspire to instill a lifelong love for design and equip aspiring designers with the tools and mindset to shape a future filled with endless possibilities.

FUTURISM AND URBAN ECOLOGY

Arching back to the past, Living in the present and pointing towards the future.

With this simple intent I created this course that defines the intersection of industrial design and Concept art. This is an enrichment course to equip the Product Design Major Students with skills and techniques that will help them to systematically explore predictions and possibilities about how products and their ecosystems will evolve and how they can emerge from the present. To explore and experiment with how one can time travel with everyday tools such as memory, imagination, manipulation of language and perception etc. Experimenting with various futuristic artstyles to fully understand the potential of their creations and possibilties that it entails.

EXPERIENTIAL FUTURES

Experiential futures, XF, is a family of approaches for vivid multi-sensory, transmedia, and diegetic representations of the future. It is a design-driven, hybrid approach to foresight aimed at increasing the accessibility, variety and depth of available images of the future.

PROCESS & VISUALISATION

The course is structured with a very grounded approach to promote the irreplaceable importance and utility of traditional fundamentals even with various shortcuts and automation provided by the digital tools to achieve a desirable result.

CONCEPT ART | VEHICLES,
PROPS AND OBJECTS

A foundation skill based course teaching the basics of creating multiple ideas from abstraction. The students get the opportunity to understand the fundamentals involved in designing vehicles, props and objects.

DIGITAL FABRICATION

This is a 15 Week studio course, where the students learn and utilize various digital fabrication techniques to better understand the process that goes into taking their designs from Initial Conception to Prototyping. The outcome is a 3D printed prototype of their designs.

FOUNDATION SKILLS

This foundation course helps students to learn the communication of ideas and information in forms that transcends mere words and pictures. Mastering skills and tools that will help the students articulate their ideas and draw any object from their imagination.

CONCEPT ART | ENVIRONMENTS

Another skill based course teaching the basics of creating multiple ideas from abstraction. The students get the opportunity to understand the fundamentals involved in environments, lanscapes and closed sets.

This course helps students to articulate and showcase work to a diverse audience across different platforms. And also introduces general strategies for pitching thought provoking big ideas to big brands using various tools and mediums.

2D CG | GAME DESIGN

This course helps the students to exploit the capabilities of various digital 2D softwares for generating multiples assets for their 2D games. They are also introduced to basics of level design and pipeline for the 2D Game Design.

DRAWING FUNDAMENTALS

Created for VFS students this foundation course helps students to learn the communication of ideas and mastering skills and tools that will help the students articulate their ideas and draw any object from their imagination.
